What is a reed diffuser?
A reed diffuser is a device used to disperse scent into the environment through evaporation of essential or fragrance oils absorbed by rattan sticks.
How does a reed diffuser work?
The oil is poured into a glass vessel, then reeds are inserted. The oil travels up the porous reeds and gets exposed to air. The exposure to air allows the scent from the oil to be dispersed throughout the room.
Can all types of oils be used in a reed diffuser?
Not all types of oils can be used in a reed diffuser, its best to use specifically formulated diffuser oils as they are designed to carry fragrance and have a thinner consistency for better absorption by the reeds.
Is it safe to leave a Reed Diffuser unattended?
Yes, unlike candles or electric humidifiers, Reed Diffusers are flame-free and do not require any electricity which makes them safe for continuous use even when you're not at home.
How long does an average size bottle of diffuser oil last?
Typically, an average size 100 ml bottle can last between 2-4 months but this can vary based on factors such as how many reeds you use, where you place your diffuser, temperature and humidity levels etc.
